Slip Sliding Away

Ever have a hard time holding on to that precious, wriggling, tiny baby as you try and give him a bath? They certainly are slippery!

Try this next time: put on a pair of cotton gloves first. They let you get a firm grip and can substitute for the washcloth too! Rinse them out once you’re done and let them air dry till you’re ready for round two. Voilà!

When my son was born they told me at the hospital to hold this slippery, wiggly little thing with my bare hands to bathe him. I was terrified! But a friend taught me a trick similar to yours – lay the baby on a cloth diaper, fold it over him loosely, and put baby and diaper together into the bath. It couldn’t have been easier – I bathed my son like that until he was about four months old.
