Right now. We’re calling for an all-points boycott of JC Penney for subjecting our daughters to this back-to-school (REALLY??) t-shirt of the incredibly offensive kind.
What about this is cute or funny? What about it is remotely acceptable for our daughters who we hope will be scientists, doctors, teachers, lawyers, writers, artists, engineers, politicians, technicians, dancers, linguists, historians, diplomats, composers, businesswomen, editors, entrepreneurs, chefs, designers, presidents, philosophers, and above all … LEADERS.
It’s difficult to even know what to say about this except, YUCK! And we hope no one buys it. And we expect our daughters to turn their noses up at it. And we would love our sons to scoff at it (knowing that their sisters are AT LEAST as adept at homework as they are).
We weren’t big fans before, but now we can’t reasonably cross the threshold. Sorry, JC. It’s not cool.
