The Family Dinner Box Of Questions

BOXX-0109We’ve talked about how important dinner time is — how it can actually prevent drug and alcohol abuse in teens, how it helps to cement the family, and how it gives everyone a chance to practice manners and social skills (Pearls, “What’s For Dinner?”).

But lots of moms and dads report that it’s hard to know exactly what to talk about with their kids or how to get the conversation started.

So we were delighted to find a ready-made box-of-ideas to help the process along. It’s called The Family Dinner Box of Questions and if you’re one of those who need a little help in getting your guys to open up, this may be just the ticket.

Kids can take turns reaching into the box and pulling out a card that asks a question like, “What is your favorite time of day?” You may surprised to hear what they have to say and their response can spark a fun and interesting discussion. It’s just one more tool to have on hand when you’re wiped and out of ideas! Enjoy.
