Kentucky Fried … WHAT??

obesityJust when we thought the fast food franchises were coming around and trying to set a better nutritional example, a new product appears on the market that is just … well … UNBELIEVABLE!

It’s a new sandwich produced by our friends at KFC. The Double Down sandwich includes bacon, two kinds of cheese, and sauce between two pieces of breaded, fried chicken that take the place of the bun. Calorie count? A mere 1250, with a whopping 50 grams of fat!

Now I know this probably shouldn’t surprise us given that the Colonel’s been stuffing America’s arteries with fatty deposits since the 1930s, but their recent introduction of a grilled chicken option with fewer calories and less fat and sodium had us fooled for a minute.

Mothers of America unite! Boycott KFC and send a message that we won’t tolerate the corporate peddling of dangerous food products to our kids. And haven’t you always suspected that those “mashed potatoes” never came anywhere near a genuine spud …?
