Mamas love this beautiful little poem, sent to us from one of our readers. Her aunt gave it to her after her first child was born and she kept it up in her kitchen for 30 years. She says it always helped her to keep some perspective on her life and her role as a mom, and we can see why. Enjoy.
Give me patience when wee hands
tug at me with their small demands.
Give me gentle, smiling eyes and
Keep my lips from hasty replies.
Let not weariness, confusion or noise
Obscure my vision of life’s fleeting joys,
So that in years to come, when my house is still,
No bitter memories its rooms will fill.
