You don’t have to spend a fortune keeping your little soccer player hydrated. You can make your own “sports drink” on the cheap. Just add 1 tsp. salt and 4 tsp. sugar to 1 quart of water. Add a drop or two of food coloring and that’s it. No chemicals, additives or anything else you might wonder about. Pour it into a reusable plastic sporty bottle, cool in the fridge for a couple hours and you’re good to go. Your child’s electrolytes will be balanced along with your checkbook.
